Okay, obviously I'm getting obsessed with going to Egypt. I love the country as if it were my own, and I'll be going back in 10 weeks (yeah, I've already started the countdown). Last time I went I forgot tons of stuff. I didn't bring bugspray or toilet paper (bad Corinne... bad), I forgot sunglasses, but... I did bring 5 pairs of shoes (yeah, and my husband was right- I didn't need them!). What is it that you always forget, or- if you're not a forgetful type of person... what is it that you are always SURE to bring? I'm trying to make up my packing list now, and I feel like there's a lot of stuff that I haven't thought of yet. Corinne |

I'm going in four weeks, and it's my first time! I'm so excited! I'm going on a lecture group with Graham Hancock and Robert Bauvall. I'm wondering what to pack, too. I'm especially unsure what kind of "Western" clothing for women is appropriate. Can I wear shorts? Should I pack capris? Know what I mean? What kind of swimsuit do women wear around the pool? Should I plan to wear sleeves in the temples? etc., etc., Any suggestions? Thanks! Carolyn |

Over 3 weeks I leave for Egypt for 125 times. Believe it or not. my late husband was Egyptian. that´s why i have been so many times to Egypt. when you go to a big city or mosk, you have to wear a pantalon and shirt with sleeves. in your hotel and at the swimming pool you can wear bikini and shorts. to everybody who´s going to Egypt, I wish them a very good holiday and enjoy the sights and all the lovely people. greetings: marjolein |

Dear Carolyn, I wish you a great time in Egypt (and no doubt you will have a blast). I suggest you wear loose clothes, light cotton pants and t-shirt (and keep a hat or scarf handy at all times), for you will respect the customs of the people of Egypt and absorb all the sweat! You will also need very good walking shoes and lots of water. Then relax in a pool in regular bathing suit, no problem... You, lucky you!! Sylvie |

Hope you have a wonderful trip. I don't have to worry about not packing anything..my wife has made packing a science, and maintains checklists before any trip. You might want to take a small wad of dollars for bakshish. |
