Hi all

I'm probably going back to Egypt in October for about 8-10 weeks, possibly more, and I was wondering about felucca trips

Is it possible to get trips that last for more than one day?

I was wondering if any of the Luxor boat captains offer anything up the Nile that last for a couple of nights.

Any info would be gratefully received
Best regards
Jimbo

Hi Jimbo,

It's been a few years since I was in Luxor but there were loads of felucca trips on offer then.

We spent 3 days and 2 nights on a boat called 'Beautiful Sunset Time' under the control of a certain Captain Badir. We had an excellent and relaxing time, doing all the things we probably shouldn't have done in and around the Nile - I'd certainly do it all again!

Jimbo,

due to security reasons, feluccas are not allowed with tourists to go more south than the Crocodile Island (Moevenpick Hotel) and further up north than about the Karnak height.....
So forget it..... :-(
