Colonel Vyse and the Basket Case

More precisely, he should have found this object under the corbelled niche. The only "version" of Vyse's operations (heheh) I have, comes from "Giza, The Truth", where Ian Lawton and Chris Ogilvie-Herald write Vyse having found nothing but sand and dead insects in the cavities between the core blocks. Anybody here have the original Operations to tell us how, what and where, please?
